The Office’s Jenna Fisher Down a Jim

fischergunn.jpgSadly, just as our dear Jim and Pam of The Office are getting together in their fictional lives, the real life Pam, Jenna Fisher, is splitting with her real life Jim.

Jenna Fisher and her husband, James Gunn, have decided to split, though as it seems very amicably, after almost 7 years of marriage (Finn). They aren’t reading or watching any media on the subject, which I’d say is rather wise of them, and it seems as their separation is basically an issue of not enough time together in their very busy and successful work-lives.

As they posted on their MySpace page, “‘We are sorry for any pain this causes family and friends,’….’The enthusiasm we have expressed for each other’s lives, spirits and careers is real—we have been each other’s cheerleader and friend during the past six years and continue to be so now and in the future'” (Finn).

It seems as if this is the best move for them both, so hopefully they can enjoy each other’s friendship and successes. It’s sad to see our dear stars, as we nose our ways into their lives all the time, go through tough times. I can only hope the total and utter joy Fisher brings to fans as Pam (and her movie roles as well) can keep her smiling and ready at least for a wonderful fictional Jim romance while she continues on.
